QAShip is currently an unincorporated brand and pre-launch software project, not a registered company or incorporated legal entity. This Privacy Policy explains how the people operating QAShip handle information collected through qaship.com, early access forms, contact forms, email communications, prototypes, and any future hosted QAShip application.

We aim to collect only what we need to run the site, respond to interest, build the product, protect the service, and prepare for launch. If QAShip later forms a company or changes operators, this policy may be updated to identify the relevant legal entity.

Depending on how you interact with QAShip, we may collect:

• Contact details: name, email address, company or team name, and messages you send us.
• Waitlist and product interest: role, team size, QA workflow details, feature requests, and launch preferences.
• Account information: sign-in details, workspace profile data, authentication identifiers, and settings if accounts are enabled.
• QA workspace content: projects, test cases, test runs, comments, statuses, reports, attachments, and similar data you choose to enter.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, timestamps, referring pages, logs, error data, and approximate location derived from IP.
• Communications: support requests, feedback, survey responses, and email engagement information.

QAShip is not currently intended for storing special-category personal data, regulated health or financial data, government identifiers, passwords, API keys, production credentials, or highly confidential client material. Do not submit that information unless we have expressly confirmed support for it in writing and you have the legal right to provide it.

We use information to:

• operate, maintain, secure, debug, and improve the website and service;
• respond to messages, support requests, waitlist submissions, and early access enquiries;
• create and administer accounts, workspaces, permissions, and product features;
• send product updates, launch notices, transactional emails, and service communications;
• understand demand, measure performance, prioritise features, and improve user experience;
• detect abuse, spam, security threats, fraud, or violations of our Conditions of Service; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.

QAShip may offer AI-assisted summaries, risk signals, recommendations, and workflow insights. To provide those features, relevant test data, prompts, metadata, and outputs may be processed by QAShip systems and selected AI infrastructure providers.

AI outputs can be incomplete or wrong. Avoid submitting confidential, sensitive, or regulated data into AI features unless we later publish specific controls and terms for that use. Human review remains required.

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we generally rely on consent for optional waitlist or marketing communications, contract or pre-contract steps for providing requested services, legitimate interests for product improvement and security, and legal obligation where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

• service providers that help with hosting, databases, analytics, email delivery, security, and AI processing;
• people working on QAShip who need access to operate, support, or improve the service;
• professional advisers if needed for legal, accounting, security, or operational advice;
• authorities or third parties where required by law, to protect rights, or to prevent harm; and
• a successor operator if QAShip forms a company, reorganises, merges, transfers assets, or is acquired.

We may use cookies, local storage, server logs, and privacy-conscious analytics to remember preferences, measure traffic, understand page performance, prevent abuse, and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, maintaining business and security records, resolving disputes, complying with law, and preparing for launch. Waitlist and contact information may be retained until you ask us to delete it or until it is no longer useful for launch communications.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate for a pre-launch product, such as access controls, provider security features, least-privilege practices, monitoring, and encrypted transport where supported. No internet service is perfectly secure, and you should avoid submitting data that would cause harm if exposed while QAShip is still early-stage.

QAShip may be accessed globally, and providers we use may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we will rely on appropriate safeguards or provider terms for international transfers.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about how your data is used. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential emails by using the unsubscribe link where provided or by contacting us.

QAShip is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

The website or service may link to third-party sites such as GitHub, social platforms, infrastructure providers, or documentation. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product develops, as providers change, or if QAShip forms or appoints a formal operating entity. The “Last updated” date will show when the policy changed.
